Evan Davies
Carer Representative

My name is Evan Davies and I am one of the two carer representatives on the group. I am a retired teacher with five children and eight grandchildren (so far!). My middle daughter, now aged thirty three, has learning disabilities and lives very happily and purposefully in a Camphill community.

I represent a group called Fair Choice that works for greater recognition for intentional communities. Fair Choice was asked to send a representative to the LDIAG when it started.

I am also a trustee of the All Wales Forum of Parents and Carers and work for Cardiff and Vale Parents’ Federation. I work closely with Pauline Young, the chair of both these organisations, to represent the views and concerns of family carers. I also work as a trustee for other charities.
