Challenging Behaviour Community of Practice
Welcome to the web pages of the Challenging Behaviour Community of Practice (CB CoP) in Wales. The aim of the CB CoP is to bring interested people together to develop innovative ideas and approaches for improving the quality of life for people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour in Wales. We hope to form a network of people who can work to achieve real change. To find out more about Communities of Practice, click on 'Resources' in the left-hand menu; you’ll also find other useful information on learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. You can find out who's involved by clicking on 'About CoP' while under 'CoP Meetings' you can find out about the work of the CB COP so far.
Many thanks to those of you who attended the last meeting held on 26th January 2012. Brief notes of this meeting and copies of presentations etc are available under CoP Meetings.
Next meeting: Friday 30 March 2012 at Cefn Lea, Dolfor, Newtown from 10am to 3.30pm. The key note speaker will be Viv Cooper, Challenging Behaviour Foundation, on the work of the National Strategy Group - click on the link for further info http://www.thecbf.org.uk/. The agenda will be available closer to the date under 'CoP Meetings' in the left-hand menu.
The next meeting after that will be held on Wednesday 20 June 2012 at Cefn Lea, Dolfor, Newtown from 10am to 3.30pm. Key note speaker will be Prof Eric Emerson, University of Lancaster (UK) and University of Sydney (Australia).
