Strategic
planning sub group |
| This
group was set up to work on standards of advocacy, commissioning
of Learning Disability services, workforce development and qualification
issues and unified assessment process implementation. |
 This
subgroup is currently focusing on two specific areas: advocacy
and commissioning. Within their work on advocacy they will be
looking to adopt standards for advocacy across Wales. They will
be writing a paper on this for the September meeting of the
LDIAG. Another piece of work they are doing is
writing an advocacy check list or self evaluation document.
The primary purpose of the document should be to help groups
to think about the future and how they will sustain their activities
after the funding ends in 2 years.
 On
the topic of commissioning, the group will be working on strategic
information gathering and looking at ways to ensure that strategic
information is gathered long term.
